The house has everything
Just wanted to let you know how much everyone loves the house. My mother-in-law just raves that it has EVERYTHING you could want!
We hate to leave
We’re en route home–so hard to leave! The weekend was perfect, we feel like we’ve found a perfect sanctuary. Your land and house are sublime. Thanks again for sharing your wonderful place with us, we can’t wait to come back!
Thank you!
We had a wonderful time this weekend in your lovely home. Thank you! We sat in front of the window mesmerized by the birds. They are so fun to watch. A good visit with our son and a beautiful weekend on the mountain. Although there are many trails to walk and events to attend at the college, I never wanted to leave Aerie! Thanks again,
Serenity on the Mountain
What a delightful retreat! I live in Nashville, & didn’t think it possible to be so close to such a serene getaway. The views from Aerie are stunning; the stars & the night music transported me to a pace far from city bustle. It is the perfect place for a writer or artist in need of inspiration. The nearby town of Sewanee is a picturesque artistic community with loads of handmade crafts & some delicious food at local restaurants. I can’t wait to get back! The leaf change should be spectacular & I didn’t begin to scratch the surface of the many hiking trails on the mountain.
Wonderful Retreat
I so enjoyed my stay at Aerie. Several friends and I chose it for a weekend getaway. We could hike or spend time outdoors or indoors surrounded by great natural beauty. We ate out a few times, shopped in adorable shops, enjoyed viewing a display of art and crafts, and relaxed on the deck or inside the impeccably maintained house. Highly recommended.
Peace and quiet in the mountains
My husband and I stayed at Aerie with another friend over Labor Day. It was the perfect retreat from Atlanta, only a 2 1/2 hour drive to the beautiful mountains. Aerie would be excellent just because of its million dollar view of the mountains and no other houses, but it also has so many details that make your stay comfortable and relaxing: two decks and a sunroom to enjoy the view and activity at the bird feeder, a well-equipped kitchen and sizeable wooden dining table, comfortable beds with reading lamps (my personal requirement), quiet corners to read a book or do a jigsaw puzzle, recently renovated bathrooms, and land around the house for privacy. We also enjoyed Sewanee, the Saturday farmer’s market, a good pizza place and Ivy Wild, a new gourmet restaurant. We also hiked the Fiery Gizzard trail, not too far from the house. A perfect weekend getaway!
